Jules Verne (1828 – 1905) was a French writer considered one of the pioneers of science fiction. He wrote many famous novels such as Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and Journey to the Center of the Earth. Verne was interested in science and technology and was able to predict many future discoveries in his novels.
